About Just Brew It

Just Brew It is a homebrew competition and tasting in Asheville benefiting the work of Just Economics.  The festival has traditionally taken place in late Spring/early Summer and features more than 100 different beers and more than 40 amazing homebrewers.  The competing homebrewers are some of the finest specialty homebrewers in the region.

Voted #3 Favorite Local Beer Event for three years now, Just Brew It draws a diverse group of people from around the area. The festival traditionally takes place in late Spring/early summer and features more than 100 different beers by more than 40 of the finest specialty homebrewers in the region. This year, Just Brew It will be at a new location, the Wedge Foundation. Hours are 2-5pm on May 26, 2018 with VIP tasting beginning at 1pm. This event raises much needed funds for Just Economics but always promises good times.

Scott Douglas (Mountain Xpress) described 2017’s Just Brew It as “Western North Carolina’s most prominent homebrew festival…continues to be one of the most interesting and entertaining AVL Beer Week events, and local nonprofit Just Economics put on another great show this year. More than 40 dedicated homebrewers participated in [2017]’s JBI, and the variety of styles on display was a resounding testament to the creativity and ingenuity that drives the craft beer community”.
