The Difference between Living Wage Certified Employers and Individual Membership to Just Economics:

There is a difference between being a Living Wage Certified Employer and an Individual Member of Just Economics and we know this can be confusing.

Employers that are Living Wage Certified are part of our employer network and the benefits of this one program apply to all certified employers.  For example, certified employers are invited to our networking events, can participate in employer workshops, are a put on our on-line and printed employer list, and our eligible for in-network discounts and promotions.

Individual Membership is different.  Just Economics’ mission extends beyond the Living Wage Certification program and we rely on individual members to develop organizational goals and create strategy for building a more just and sustainable local economy together.  Individual Membership comes with different benefits including entrance to Just Brew It (our annual home-brew tasting and competition), participation in our committees and other membership activities and decisions, and tax-deductible benefits for contributing to a 501c3 nonprofit organization.  Individual Membership is open to anyone in the community and we encourage representation from all sectors.  Please contact Just Economics for information about low-income membership, (828) 505-7466.
